The vision of the department of microbiology is to educate and train students in the discipline of microbiology and to expand the body of knowledge of this scientific field through research. Our mission is to produce highly qualified and competent students in all areas of the microbiology. We providing the timely and accessible information’s on current and emerging trends in microbiology. The department of microbiology in an integrated team of educators providing leading education and innovative research expertise in all field of microbiology. To recognize the strength and ability of the students and work together to achieve our common goal. Our main role in society is to aware these regional students about health and hygiene by providing the consortium of knowledge in the disciple of Microbiology relate with health.
Programme
An undergraduate course in Zoology, designed according to the CBCS system, offers various combinations of the animal world. The syllabus designed by the BoS in Zoology of the V.N.S.G.U. is followed. The syllabus broadly comprises of various topics like Taxonomy, Evolution, Ethology, Ecology, Forensic Science, Toxicology, Physiology, Genetics, Ichthyology, Economic Zoology, Biochemistry, Histology, Anatomy, Parasitology, Osteology, Entomology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Haematology, Animal diversity (nonchordates and chordates) etc. Certificate Course in Conceptual Foundation in Zoology is offered for the interested students. It also gives awareness towards conservation of Nature, Natural Resources and Living Organisms.
